The winery was set up in 1957 and in architectural terms keeps the old age tradition of the former inhabitants of Cigales, with an underground structure, and equipped with traditional concrete tanks, so appropriate to avoid too developed wines.
From its origins, the winery has been renewing its facilities, but always with the purpose of keeping the tradition. Thus, the underground depostis are reinforced with epoxy resins as well as automathic refrigerating system to control temperature. To increase the capacity of production it has been equipped with modern stainless steel deposits, according with the most new techniques of wine-making.
The annual production average is over 2.500.000 kilograms of grapes, mainly focused on rosé wines, better known as “claretes” in the area, although the production of red wines is on the rise due to the high potential of our grapes, many of them.
There are 200 oak barrels for our aged wines, coming from different cooperages.
Our wines are held by different stamps of quality such as D.O. Cigales or Vino de la Tierra de Castilla y León, and the range embraces young rosé and red wines as well as aged aged wines.
